Bomb
Plant or defuse
Terrorists plant the C4 at bombsite A or B. Counter-Terrorists defuse it or eliminate the other team. First to 8 rounds wins.
Deathmatch
Free for all
Instant respawns, most kills wins. Great for warming up your aim.
1v1
Duel
One on one online, with automatic matchmaking.

To plant, select the C4 with 5 inside the bombsite and hold fire. To defuse, get close to the bomb, look at it and hold E.

The maps were converted from the originals, with their baked lighting, upscaled textures and their own skies.
de_nuke
The nuclear plant: bombsite A upstairs, bombsite B below, and the outside yard in between.
de_cpl_strike
The 1.6 tournament map many players know as the predecessor of Mirage.
fy_iceworld
Ice blocks, weapons on the floor and fast fights from the first second.
OnlineMultiplayer
Public rooms
There is one permanent public room per map. If a round is in progress you join right away. If it is full, the game sends you to another one with space.
Private rooms
Create a room with a name and an optional code, share the link and play with friends. The room creator can add bots from the console.
If you drop
The game reconnects on its own. If you drop mid-match, your spot is kept for one minute, with your team, money and score.

Is Web Strike free?
Yes. It is free, with no in-game purchases and no account required.
Do I need to download anything?
No. You play in the browser at webstrikegame.com. It works on desktop Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Is this the official Counter-Strike?
No. Web Strike is an independent fan project inspired by Counter-Strike 1.6. It is not affiliated with Valve.
How do I play with friends?
Go to Find Servers, create a private room with a name and an optional code, and share the room link. Your friends join straight away. There is also one permanent public room per map.
Can I play on my phone?
Not yet. Web Strike is made for a computer with keyboard and mouse, like the original game.
Which maps are included?
de_dust2, de_nuke, de_cpl_strike (the 1.6 predecessor of Mirage) and fy_iceworld.
Why does my tab close when I crouch on Windows?
On Windows, Ctrl+W closes the tab. That is why the game goes fullscreen and locks the keyboard when it captures the mouse, so Ctrl+W reaches the game. You can also rebind crouch in Options.
